can be sure to have enough food
vendors to feed everyone.

provided on the campground for
convenience. (Yes, hot
food for breakfast, lunch,
dinner and you can even buy a
beer! Without leaving the
campground) Don't worry,
we even requested Buffalo
Burgers for that SD feeling

for food figure $4 for
breakfast, $6 Lunch, $9 supper
(that pretty much can buy you a
restaurant meal if not on the campground
then off the campground in the
town of Sturgis).

Airline Notes $ SAVINGS: Coming from Las Vegas or Phoenix, AZ? Today (May 22) the flight with
Allegiant Airlines was
quoted from the 2nd to the 7th
at only $270 ROUND TRIP from
Vegas to Rapid!
Greyhound Notes: The greyhound DOES go to Sturgis. We can send someone to pick you up at the drop off station if you choose to use Greyhound. Quote today (May 22): Coming from Connecticut? Researched greyhound fair is $366 ROUND TRIP, 2 days travel, from Danbury to Sturgis.
Companion Fare $ SAVINGS! Bring a companion (either a child or an adult) for 50 percent off when you buy one adult ticket at the regular walk-up price at least three days in advance of travel. Offer good for both one-way and round trip tickets. Buy tickets online!
- Tickets must be purchased at least 3 days in advance of travel and one-way trip distance cannot exceed 1,500 miles.
- Not available for travel within the state of New York or between New York and Canada. Also excluded is all service between the following points: New York to/from Boston (includes CampusLink service), New York to/from Philadelphia, New York to/from Amherst, and New York to/from Northampton.

Van Rental Notes: Budget Rental Researched: 10 day rental from Charlotte, NC to Sturgis, SD is about $993 (inc. taxes) divided by 12 people is about $83 a person plus gas share of about $92 a person = $175.
Tent Cabin rentals will sleep 6-8 persons (if you are all friends and willing to share) WAY comfortably without being crowded and everyone would be able to sleep on an airbed, have electricity AND cooling fans! It would be $150 for the rental, plus additional airbed $15 (or 2), plus additional gate fee of $25 per person.... comes to for party of 6 $40 a person. You could be here for about $215 for the entire time per person! A very economical Holiday!
AmTrak Notes: If you use AmTrak go to Denver, hop a plane to Rapid City, I found it saves a few hundred dollars (IE, Philly to Rap was $714 for a good flight, AmTrak to Denver $220, Fl from Denver to Rap was $254.. ROUND TRIP) DUE RISING COSTS! BOOK NOW!!! Besides you usually a better price farther in advance.
Interesting Flight note: A year ago my son wanted to go to CA, I sent him to Las Vegas, he spent the night in a motel right outside the airport (so he got to tour Vegas for an evening), then went on to CA and he saved almost $300 (we had booked to close to the departure date). This was because we were able to use Allegiant Airlines, which is a direct flight from Rapid City to Las Vegas or Phoenix, AZ and is usually VERY inexpensive. |

REMEMBER! This is TOURIST season! Hotels fill fast (if you are remotely thinking hotel).
Getting There: A Shuttle Bus will be setup to pickup passengers from the Rapid City airport and drive them to Sturgis.
This is a campout... bring a Tent, Some Cabins are Available for Rent, RV's are available for Rent (Contact Michelle if you want to rent an RV) from pop up tent campers at $350 for a week to Camper Trailers at $695 for a week. Bring a cooler full of goodies and food. The campsite is just minutes from town conveniences. Sturgis has many fast food restaurant choices, gas stations, grocery stores, stores such as Pamida (similar to a WalMart).
There will be food vending provided on the campground for convenience.
